The Number of Characters allowed in an SMS
One SMS can have a maximum of 160 GSM-7 or 70 unicode characters. If there are more than these, a charge for multiple SMS will be applied, and at this point, one SMS will have a maximum of 153 GSM-7 or 67 unicode characters because of the overhead (the overhead is used for sending SMS information to vendors, this is not required if you only send one SMS, however, it's required for the 2nd SMS onwards).
Limitation:
The maximum of SMS characters that are allowed are 10251.
