Create Template Manage Template

Create Template

To create and send an RCS campaign, the first step is to create a campaign template. Follow the steps below to create a campaign template:

  • Navigate to Templates section by clicking on the Templates button. 

  • Click on New template.

  • Fill in the following template information:
    • Input Template name (1-80 characters) 
    • Choose type: 
      • Text only - Select Text Only if the campaign message contains only text (no images, videos, or rich media).
        • Character Limit: The message content supports a maximum of 3,072 characters. 
      • Rich card - Select a Rich Card message if the campaign contains one media file (either a picture or a video). It allows combining media with text for a richer customer experience.
        • Media – Required
          • Accepts image or video.
          • Maximum file size: 100 MB.
        • Title Text – Optional.
          • Character limit: 0–200 characters.
        • Description Text – Optional.
          • Character limit: 0–2000 characters 
  • Enable Fallback SMS Message to automatically send an SMS if the recipient’s device is not RCS capable.
    • Character limit: 10,251 characters.
    • Requires an active SMS add-on license.
  • Click Save as Draft if the user still wants to edit the template (Optional).
  • Click Request Approval if the user has completed the template and wants to request admin approval.

Manage Template

To view the list of actions that you can perform on a template, click on the 3 dots. Available actions for Draft templates are:

  • Edit
  • Request approval
  • Duplicate (Make a copy of the template, but the name will be “Copy of + {Template name}”. Status of the
  • Duplicated template will be Draft).
  • Delete

Available actions for Approved templates are:

  • Duplicate (Make a copy of the template, but the name will be “Copy of + {Template name}”. Status of the
  • Duplicated template will be Draft).
  • Delete
