The File encryption feature allows an organization to configure a single PGP public key for encrypting files generated by the platform.
The same key is shared across supported encryption services, including:
- WhatsApp transcript ZIP export
- Call recording encryption
Only the key’s fingerprint and expiry information are stored by the platform; the public key itself is not retained.
Set Up the Organization PGP Public Key
- Go to File Encryption
- Open the organization settings and navigate to the File encryption page.
- Click Upload
- Click Upload on the PGP public key card.
- The platform supports uploading a
.ascpublic key file or providing an armored PGP public key block. - The uploaded key is shared across the organization’s supported file-encryption services.
- Confirm the Key Is Stored
- After a valid key is uploaded, the PGP public key card updates to display:
- Fingerprint
- Algorithm
- Expiry date
- After a valid key is uploaded, the PGP public key card updates to display:
- Only these key details are stored by the platform.
- Use Change if you need to replace the key later.

Changing the key may affect all services that use the organization’s encryption key.
