While the utilization of traditional fax machines has significantly diminished, many large enterprises continue to incorporate faxing as an integral component of their corporate infrastructure.
Although modern fax machines now support advanced features like fax-to-email and vice versa, our emphasis in developing a fax solution centers on optimizing the fax-to-email functionality.
This approach caters to the evolving needs of enterprises, allowing for seamless integration with contemporary communication systems while addressing the occasional necessity for faxing within a corporate environment.
Prerequisites
Base License: Fax
Add-on License: Number (only 1 add-on per base license)
Access Control
Owner:
Owners of the organization can access and perform all actions in CPaaS Fax.
Admins:
Admins must obtain permission to access and oversee fax functionalities, and upon acquiring authorization, they gain the ability to execute all actions similar to those of owners.
Members:
When members are assigned specific IAM (Identity and Access Management) privileges for a particular fax, they gain access and are empowered to perform actions exclusively on the fax that has been assigned to them.
To assign a particular fax to a member, follow the steps:
- Open the Fax app on the portal
- Select the specific fax
- Select the Overview tab
- Against the member section, select the pencil icon to edit
- Add member by typing the name or select a member from the dropdown list (up to 50 members can be added to a particular fax)
- Click Assign
